After your print has been under the enlarger immediately transfer it to the dektol to prevent it from becoming exposed or anything happening to it that would cost you to waste your paper and have to start over. In the Dektol, let the print stay in the chemical until black is the darkest on the print. Next use the tongs to drip dry the print over the Dektol and then transition it to the stop bath. Don't let the tongs touch the stop bath to ensure that that chemical doesn't become contaminated. The stop bath ensures that the developing process has finished and stops it from developing further. Let your print sit in the stop bath for 1 minute. After 1 minute take the tongs for the stop bath and drip dry the paper over the chemical then transition it to the fixer keeping in mind not to let the tongs touch the fixer. The fixer is making the print light safe and needs to rest in the tray for 3-5 minutes.
